At the lower edge is a single strand of weathered iron zig-zag wire that is correctly fitted to the shell. The shell is also with the early three-hole spanner bolts. The tan colored leather liner is unmarked, and the blue leather chinstrap harness are both faithful and accurate renditions of the original.
All the harness hardware is functional. This is an exceptionally fine-looking example that suits the bill if you are not looking to spend 12K on an original. It is a very convincing replica of the type of helmet used by Fallschirmjäger at Normandy in 1944.
