The Leather Jacket for Engine Room Personnel was a single-breasted garment, fastened by five buttons, usually with a painted finish as opposed to the gilt buttons worn on other garments. It had a simple upright collar and could be fastened up to the neck.
The jacket was made out of the top quality black color goatskin, lined with thick black wool in the body, and white stripe artifical silk in the sleeves. A single breast pocket was provided on the left-hand side. The cuffs bore a small button-down adjusting strap. This style of jacket had been used in the Navy since Kaisers days, and were cut from both black and pale blue-grey leather. The other historical accurate details of our reproductions include the black wool wind-cuff, a deep, inside'Luger' pocket, the correct navy style buttons, and the leather shoulder loops for the shoulder boards, all these details made the garment is as accurate to the original as is feasible to be.Chest size 114cm (around chest)Shoulder to Cuff 66cmShoulder to Shoulder 48cm.
