WWII German M35 Helmet ET64 Size 56 Leather Liner 1939
WWII German M35 Helmet ET64 Size 56 Leather Liner 1939. The shell is a size 64. The liner frame is of reinforced aluminum , made by Schuberth Werk, Brauschweig in 1939. The leather liner is attached to the frame with flat head aluminum rivets.
The split rivets holding the liner in the shell are also dated 1939. Helmet is complete except for the chinstrap. The apple green paint color was used by the Heer, Waffen SS, and the Polizei, not sure which branch this example was, although I did find an SS helmet online with the same lot number, but that doesnt mean this helmet is too. The size 56 Leather liner is present, although it is somewhat dry and stiff from age.
