WWII German Luftwaffe Flak Badge and War Merit Cross Second Class Lot Authentic
I DO NOT SUPPORT THE BELIEFS OF THE THIRD REICH! THIS WAS PART OF A LARGE WW2 COLLECTION WHICH INCLUDED ALL THE MAIN COUNTRIES INVOLVED! For sale from my personal collection are these 3 original, authentic medals from Germany during the 3rd Reich. 1 War Merit Cross 2nd Class with words. 2 War Merit Cross 2nd Class without swords. 3 Luftwaffe Artillery Flak Badge.
These pieces have been in my collection for many years and all were bought at military collectible stores so they are authentic. War Merit Crosses were given to civilians who helped the war effort but did not actually fight on the front. The Flak badge was given to soldiers who were able to shoot down enemy aircraft from the ground.
What I do know for sure is that for all medals the late war ones were made of cheaper medals like zinc since they needed more resources for the war. However the details on these late pieces was not as nice. This piece has beautiful detail. Also the case for the badge is included but it is a modern reproduction case i got to just hold the badge in there as it fits perfectly. Again, badge is original but case is not.
This particular badge had no marks on the badge but that is ok as not all of them were stamped by maker.
