DESCRIPTION Large Size I have more Photos for serious buyers. Yes, this is newly made but it might as well be real! It was made by the son of a German army supplier of uniforms for the Wehrmacht (all branches) -- every stitch and thread from top to bottom is done exactly as the originals were manufactured. The uniform was probably constructed from bolts of cloth that were left over after the war in the shop of his father.

We put the ultra violet light (black light) to the various parts of the outfit and all that lit up was the bouillon on the shoulder boards. So, what we have here is a uniform that certain dealers here and in Europe would sell as real unfortunately! They would probably distress it a bit and surprise they have a genuine Major Generals outfit.

The handwork on this uniform is incredible; one would think that the Whermacht clothing regulation inspector was soon to knock on the door -- it is that perfect! The trousers are the riding breeches style and are the finest made in the world Inside the tunic is the traditional slot for the hanger of the dress dagger. The collar tabs and shoulder boards are in gold bullion as well as the matching Breast Eagle wonderfully created, may even be real.

Inside the tunic is a pocket and here is found a tag that would identify the general who owned the uniform. The tag is labeled Holtors, this in the era was the ultimate maker for the finest uniforms made for Wehrmacht and political figures of high rank. Hitler, Goring, Himmler, Heydrich and practically the whole army, navy, and Air force officials were Holters uniforms. He was the most prestigious of all the garment makers in the Third Reich. No other could easily compare.

The cap is a thing of beauty as well with that jaunty look that only the German headgear had. The label inside is from G. Hoffmann another famous maker whose headgear was well known to be perfection personified! Their firm was in Berlin. Just imagine it on a mannequin in your collection room.

Its brilliance is phenomenal and the price affordable. But, do remember this is as close as it gets to the real McCoy and probably it is even better made than some of the originals.
