WW2 German elite tunic Prinz Eugen Sturmgeschutz (mobile artillery)
High quality reproduction of an elite feldgrau Panzer wrap tunic worn by Sturmgeschutz (mobile artillery) troops. This tunic includes Iron Cross second Class and Russian Front ribbons, cuff title, sturmgeschutz collar tabs and shoulderboards piped in red waffenfarbe. Uniform is that of a battalion Commander with the rank of Obersturmbannfuhrer (Senior Assault Leader, equivalent to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel) in the 7th Assault Regiment of the Prinz Eugen Mountain Division. This armored regiment which fielded assault guns, served extensively on the Eastern front, mostly suppressing Partisan activity in the Balkans.
The wearer of this piece would most likely have commanded multiple assault guns used for fire suppression and armored reconnaissance. Tunic is a size Large (46 chest) and was prepared and vintaged for a publisher's professional photoshoot.
Tunic includes all insignia as well as partial liner with adjustable interior waist belts and hooks for support of a field belt, commonly worn with a holster and PPK pistol.
