WW2 German award case U-boat next of kin reproduction

Empty case & low quality document Only! Copy of the next of kin U-Boat award case. A new U-boat member had to complete 2 "tours" to receive the badge. Usually the Boat badge & the iron cross (either version) was what was sent to the family. On rare occasions (unknown reasons), could also be a set to include a wound badge.

This case is an older item, Not newly made (1950's / 1960's), and Converted for this use. Wood construction, fake leather outside, upper lid with off white "satin", lower section with Blue velveteen Type material. Extra space was made to fit slightly different sized, ribbon, iron cross, & U-boat pin. = most original items should fit, Repros may not. NOTE; residue on bottom from a sticker that was on it long ago.
