Replica RPzB-54 Panzerschreck Shield for sale. This one is already camouflaged and looks great, the color scheme is perfect!

It fits, will fit, original Panzerschreck tubes perfectly. I also tested it out on an IMA replica tube. It was a tight fit on the replica to say the least and would have to be hand-fitted to sit properly on one of those. The shield sight glass is original, and is marked in the corner with an S in a circle. There is no spare shield glass and a piece of Plexiglas sits in the spare glass compartment.

There are no markings or stampings on this shield and I believe that it is a reproduction. While the first model had no shield, one was later officially adopted. I know of two distinct types of RPzB-54shields, I do not know why the differences exist e.

There are some very good current replica shields that have come recently on the market, that model another, different, style of shield. I also have an IMA shield, which looks like that style.

The model shield that I have for sale here has two distinct differences from those recent production models. A stamped relief for the spare sight glass storage that protrudes from the face of the shield (center bottom) the other pattern does NOT have this feature and is smooth and flush in this area. The collar area where the shield meets the tube has a curved plate that is stamped with a step in it. The other pattern shield is of a plain flat piece curved to fit, but with no step. I have access to original shields in both varieties, and this one is very, very close to the original, the only difference being the depth and radius of the stampings is a bit more pronounced on the originals. The sheet metal is also slightly thicker than the originals 1.23mm vs. The Shield weighs 3.26 lbs. The originals weighed in at 3.16 lbs.

The sight window width is correct at 8 cm. The camouflage foliage loops spot welded to the front are also closer to the original 12mm at 12.8 mm.

The other reproduction I measured is 16.71 mm. Last two photos show dunkelgelb IMA shield for comparison only, it is not part of the sale.
