Reproduction WW2 German elite sniper camouflage face veil
You're viewing a handmade reproduction of the camouflage face veil used by the Germans during World War II. The veil is woven on a specially made loom using braided cotton cord and twisted cotton string and sections sewn together with polyester thread. It fits up to size 68 Stahlhelm shells with a 1 sliding brass buckle and cotton herringbone twill strap. Like the original, it features reversible spring and autumn sides with camouflage patterns painted in acrylic.
The strands appear stiff in the pictures as they are iron pressed to heat-set the camouflage paint. For a more natural look. Like they would appear in actual dated photos.
For use in historical reenactments or display, it's recommended to gently stretch the veil or wash using cold water to loosen the fibers. It may take a while depending on where you are so please allow 2-3 weeks for it to arrive. Photos are of the actual batch produced and may vary in shade from other batches I've made.
