The "Holy Grail" of 44 Dot reproductions. This is the 1st pattern of 44 dot from the Janke tailoring firm of Germany, not the relatively common 2nd pattern. I didn't even know of the 1st pattern's existance until I stumbled across this keilhosen a few years ago. Since then I've talked to a few alte kampfers about this run. One old kamerad of mine mantains that this is original dot material, which was made into reproduction uniforms in the late 1970's, or early 1980's.
I don't believe that to be the case, but it is a very, very convincing and absolutely museum quality reproduction. There is heavy wear around the pockets, just like originals, and there are some dirt smudges as well, but I've left it as is because it looks so perfect right out of the box. Size is like a modern 34 waist with regular length. I've priced this uniform item accordingly, due to the amazing quality and rarity of it. Not cheap, but an absolute jewel. The item "Museum Quality & Insanely Rare 1st Pattern Janke 44 Dot (often sold as original)" is in sale since Monday, December 21, 2020.
