Iron Cross Ek1 1st Class
This 1st Class Iron Cross is a die struck, three piece construction (single piece iron core and two piece alloy construction). The obverse features a pattee style cross with a centrally placed swastika, above "1939" all in black with a ribbed and flat border. The reverse shows a flat back with an early style pin that is unmarked, a block hinge and a round wire wire soldered catch. All these feature conform with the early examples in Maerz's reference pg 124. The paint remains 99%+ intact with a couple dots of oxidizing.
