German WW2 Army M43 tunic - Older QUALITY made by Sturm. Size Metric 56 - US Appx: LG XL 46 Excellent Repro. Seems to me that the older tunics from Sturm in Germany are higher quality built than new ones now. More attention to detail, that's just what I'm seeing and here one is for your consideration.
Had 5 (five) buttons, and Heer Army Wehrmacht had 6 (six) button tunics. High quality - Field gray (Feldgrau) wool cloth tunic exterior. Left front pocket has sewn loops for Award Badges. Belt hook holes (sewn in) - Three on each side, both front & rear (Total 12).
FYI> The belt hooks help take load off from Field gear on equipment belt. Interior is HBT (Herring Bone Twill) Cloth lined. Shoulder boards Infantry - Two (Left & Right).Shoulder board epaulette retaining loops & pebble buttons. Bandage pocket in lower front right corner. Adjustable two (2) button cuffs.
Five (5) Correct pebble front buttons - Waffen. Buttons for the Collar liner - that should be installed - See Pix example. NOTE : Collar liner shown in pictures is not included. These WWII German tunics have Schutze (Private, & non-NCO) Infantry shoulder boards, indicated by the White piping on them.
I was a WWII Reenactor some time ago & bought some of these Sturm Waffen Tunics for my sons, but they never really interested in joining up. So, all the tunics, uniform stuff & field gear have been trunk stored for at least ten (10) years. This one is the good stuff that was'Early Made', before all of the cheap mass produced uniforms & gear started rolling in. I have a lot of Original & Reproduction German stuff to sell first, so watch my coming auctions. Appropriate feedback will be left on all auctions. I'VE BEEN ASKED TO SEND PIX OF THE BACK SIDE OF THE TUNIC. IT IS A'FULL PANELED' BACK SIDE WITH NO SEAMS. THIS IS NOT A CONVERTED SWEDISH TUNIC. THERE ARE ONLY SOME SHADOWS FROM GOOFY LIGHTING FROM THE CHANDELIER I USED FOR PIX LIGHTING. GOOFY LIGHTING, BUT IT WAS THE MOST LIGHT I HAD TO SHOOT PIX.
