German marching high-boots Jackboots Marschstiefel WW2 leather nailed stamped
Superb replica of Wehrmacht/Elite WW2 jackboots (Knobelbecher, Marschstiefel). These are made of natural cow leather of vegetable tanning. Original hobnails and iron-heels are installed.
Sole is sewn-through you can see the thread under the insole or see a notch on the bottom side of the sole (consealed sewing). Sole is also nailed wooden nails. To impart strenght to boots, the sole is glued. After this they are ready to be worn in reenactment. I have all sizes 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 and 46.
And your foot should be. 42 insole is 280 mm (11 in) and foot is. 25,4 mm = 1 inch.
Devide number in mm to 25,4 to get inches. You measure bare foot but it's thought you will use standart WH woolen socks or foot-wraps. Boots are neither dyed nor waxed. I recommend to impregnate them with wax (or grease) generously after (or insted) dying. You can heat boots over a gas-cooker to force grease be absorbed.
You should grease them after every reenactment (and better before too). These are natural leather boots with leather sole. Don't use aggressive heaters i.
Radiator or open fire to dry the boots. Let them dry in warm dry room. Use Johnson's baby oil, Ballistol etc. To make them softer after dry.
