Carl Zeiss Military blc 5cm INFRARED night vision lens. Circa 1943, WWII
Zeiss Military " blc " T 5cm INFRARED. Made in 1943 in Germany by Carl Zeiss. Lens is NOT clear and DOES NOT produce any image. It has INFRARED / dark red filter built inside. 1:1 which means 1x MAGNIFICATION. This lens projects an image to the Amplification Tube (missing)which was in the mount and supplied with high voltage of 12kV. NOT usable for general photography!! Lens itself is 80mm long. Front glass diameter is 48mm.
Rear glass diameter is 30mm. There are NO aperture blades inside and lens is NON-FOCUSING. Cosmetic condition is Ex-/User or 6 of 10. Seems like clean glass, without fog or fungus, but HARD to see because of infrared filter. Some tiny coating / cleaning marks and VISIBLE glass chip on the rear element.
