Bulgarian Army Splinter Splittermuster Camo Field Shirt + Cap / Hat COMBO

DESCRIPTION: A field shirt and cap of the post-communist Bulgarian Army, made in the last version of their "splinter" camouflage pattern. BACKGROUND: The camouflage used here is the culmination of half a century of camouflage development by the Bulgarian military beginning during WWII, when the first known camouflage adopted by Bulgaria was inspired by the Wehrmacht's "splittermuster" pattern. A few iterations were made through the Cold War; by the time of Socialist Bulgaria's dissolution, the pattern seen on this shirt and hat were the main camouflage of the Bulgarian armed forces. SIZE: Hat is marked size 59 but really fits more like a 58 or 57; shirt measurements are visible on the tag in the photos, but essentially it's a size L that will fit a lean person best.

DETAILS: Both items are basically unused, with only light storage wear to consider. There are some excess loose threads on the shirt; these are a manufacturing imperfection rather than indicative of wear.

I have still marked them as "used" since they are surplus that I wouldn't describe as factory new. Shirt has a patch of the Bulgarian armed forces on one arm.
