This is VERY well-made and has some slight wear of the silver, but not very much. Has a real veteran look to it to the point where I can not say if it is original OR reproduction. I bought it from a collector years ago not. So, tale a close look at both front and back closely.
Its my understanding that these were used as an option in-lieu of displaying the metal iron cross pin.
