Gebirgsjäger mountain German WW2 boots cow leather +original nails +brass plates
Made in Russia by reenactors. The sole is assembled with wooden nails: a method used since the Middle Ages, but not survived the middle of the XX century. Each sole is nailed with original steel nails that had been made in Germany during the Third Reich era. We can send ungreased boots (in light tan colour, you can see it in the picture), but greasing is obligatory for vegetable tanned leather before the first use, otherwise boots will crack and fall apart. Leather care is time-consuming, but essential in this hobby.
The German soldier took care of all his equipment all the time. They were not his; they were Reich property. Not only that, they kept his feet protected so he would make sure the leather was properly oiled and the soles maintained.That being said, you must take care of your boots! Put grease or oil every time after boots got wet. You should measure your foot first.
