This is a newest run 44 dot (pea dot or erbsentarn) tunic from At The Front. The tunic is on-par with the high-end SM Wholesale reproductions used in movies like Fury but at less than half the price.

This is their most accurate reproduction yet in the hard-to-find medium size. I bought it new and it has been hanging on a hanger in my closet untouched ever since. Here is the information from their site. No Restock Currently Planned (2020). Reproduction of the Waffen SS "44 dot" camouflage tunic.

This uniform appeared in the Spring of 1944 and was worn until the end of the War. These uniforms were made from nearly a dozen different fabrics, but.

(aka HBT) fabric was the most common. Our cloth is 50/50 linen/ cotton. We have spent five years developing these uniforms, with only original WWII examples of garments and fabrics used in the process. I believe we are the only company which uses the true SS pattern for the garments- everyone else (including the pricey ones) based their designs off Heer "reed green" uniforms.

All of the details peculiar to the Waffen SS are duplicated- the shorter skirt, no chest darts, buttons, lining material, and reinforcements. For more information on originals see ou.

Colors : We intentionally made two subtly different shades to try and mimic the patchwork look of most authentic WWII 44 dot garments. All colors and the pattern were taken directly from original period examples. The shading is random and we do not offer a choice- jackets and trousers may or may not match one another exactly. Insignia : These uniforms were issued with a sleeve eagle. The eagle was intended to be the only insignia worn on them, but, as with most every other uniform, the German troops often went their own way.

It's not terribly uncommon to see them being worn with shoulder boards, collar tabs, and cuff titles in period photos. Washing : Yes, these are washer/ dryer safe. However, it's best to button the uniform and flip it inside out before putting it in a machine otherwise the tumbler will knock the paint off the buttons.

Hand wash/ hang dry is the best to reduce fade. Shrinkage : We compensated for this in the pattern. They will shrink about 1.5 in length. Sizing : We followed the German metric scale exactly- which is actually more detailed than the American sizing grades.

On German Feldblusen, length is far more important than exact chest size, hence the size ranges. Simply find what range your chest size is in, then pick your length.
